In the summer I made a few beach and shopping bags for myself and for my cousins and friends.
Later this month I will post handmade elastic waistband skirt and and other items.
I hope your had a great summer vacation. I’ve been busy these whole summer. Finally I finish making my own Capri pants. My sewing teacher did help me make and sew my own pants. I bought here secondhand Bernina sewing machine. My boyfriend and I bought a house at the sea side and are renovating the house in my spear time next to sewing my own clothes.
One reason I started this blog is because I did attend a workshop sewing your own T-shirt somewhere in April and lately I’ve felt less and less unhappy like buying clothes that doesn’t fit well. So I decided not to buy any new clothes. Actually I am going to make my own clothes, also some vintage patterns I love, and a great items with my own hands so that I can wear them at work or in my free and spear time. Like for instance dresses, pants, skirts, blouses, home and gifts items for myself and for friends.
I love the color black. When I go to work I wear a lot of black clothing or similar colors. Its pretty easy. Basically I wear whatever black stuff I have hanging in my closet. So I am about to change and challenge that through what I am wearing at work, seeing as I spend most of my time in my jogging at the gym- or my pajama clothing at home. But one thing is for sure I always feel very happy wearing the clothing I feel good in.
Furthermore I am inspired by Tilly and the Buttons
This Capri pants I created for myself (from a pattern from Burda) with the help from my sewing teacher.
I will be posting a summer/beachbag, lavendel bags and two skirts as soon as O have a chance.
“My mother’s color of the Singer sewing machine was Black, and I can still remember watching her pushing those pedals. She made nearly all my school and church dresses/skirts back then with music from The Carpenters, Skeeter Davis and Diana Ross and the supremes in the background. She taught me to read while she sewed”. That was the good old days back then….
